Support the LAF with Live Strong bracelets

Join leaders and celebrities alike in support of the Lance Armstrong Foundation by wearing Live Strong bracelets

The LAF started a fund raiser in May to raise money to go towards young people living with cancer, with the sales of their Live Strong bracelets. By wearing these, people could give monetary donations as well as wear their support on their sleeves.

John Kerry AND George W. Bush have one, and so do several celebrities including Bono, Alec Baldwin, Bruce Willis, Robin Williams, Matt Damon, and Ben Stiller. And you can show your support as well with the purchase of one of these $1 yellow bracelets.

The LAF originally planned to raise $6 million and easily reached their goal and are still raising cash for the foundation, Nike helped out by donating the first million.

"It's been an overwhelming experience," foundation President Mitch Stoller said, "I think everybody, from average Americans to celebrities, are getting the message of courage and hope."

Lance Armstrong overcame advanced testicular cancer that had spread to his lungs and brain. He is winner of a record six consecutive Tour de France titles and has linked his bracelets to the yellow jersey worn by him in the Tour.

It is thought that birthstones originated when Aaron, first high priest of the Hebrews, wore 12 gemstones, representing the 12 tribes of Israel, in his silver breastplate.

Looking for gift ideas? One of my favorites is giving dangly charm bracelets with a few charms that feature passions of the recipient. That leaves them with the choice of adding more, and with a lasting and personal gift.
